New battle style layout
Experience an interface designed to emulate 2 x PLX turntables and a table DJM-S series mixing console ? the kind of battle setup used by professional DJs. Youll have countless mixing possibilities and scratching techniques at your disposal thanks to the new organization of the DDJ-REV1s controls. The tempo sliders are 60mm ? larger than those on the DDJ-SB3 to give you finer control ? and slide horizontally over the decks, while the actuation pads have been moved to the mixing section so to be able to intuitively combine effects, trigger samples and scratch your tracks.
Larger jog wheels
Bigger jog wheels, better for scratching. The jogs on the DDJ-REV1 are the same size as on the DDJ-SR2, a popular high-end controller.
Lever FX
Add texture to the music dynamically with Lever FX. Pull the levers down and hold them down to apply Serato DJ Lite effects in short bursts, or push them up to lock them into the effects and free your hands for scratching or searching tracks.
Tracking Scratch: An extra hand for scratching
The Tracking Scratch function will return the song silently to the cue point the moment you move the jog wheel backwards or remove your hand ? saving you from having to lock the fader and find the right spot to resume scratching your music. All you need to do is select Tracking Scratch Pad mode, press a performance pad to select the Scratch Crossfader Cuts pattern you want to use, and then start panning the jog.
Mixed Mic Audio: Easily add your voice while streaming
For the first time in a Pioneer DJ controller of this level, the master audio output is mixed with the microphone sound, if you have a switched on. This means that you dont need any external equipment such as a sound card or a standalone mixing console if you want to add spoken or sung parts to your performance and route them through your computer. All sounds are sent to Serato DJ Lite so you can stream from there.
Serato DJ Lite Integration Enjoy full use of the free software
Once youve downloaded Serato DJ Lite for free onto your PC/Mac, you can simply connect the DDJ-REV1 via the supplied USB cable and start DJing. Enjoy tactile control of the softwares various features and effects using the buttons, switches, faders and jog wheels on the controller.
With the Scratch Bank Pad mode you can instantly load scratch samples from 4 databases that you have assigned to the Serato DJ Lite or Pro by simply tapping the specific Scratch Bank button.
